Who are Business Angels?

Why become a Business Angel?

VCL is a new concept in venture capital funding:

We

(I) identify Potential High Growth PHG companies;

(II) prepare them to convince investors; and

(III) introduce them to the most appropriate Business Angel Networks and/or other investors, whose interest in the project we will have canvassed and confirmed

•  Where we judge that a business is not a PHG company, we try to recommend other sources of funding

•  We prepare companies to convince investors principally by helping them to produce a succinct and convincing information memorandum. We regard this as an essential first step, formalising companies' own plans and presenting them as a convincing business proposition. This is a process which will often determine whether VCL can assist in raising funds

•  During this process we try to identify prospective investors and we issue a preliminary one-page preview to assess their interest. We contact those investors who indicate an appetite for the investment, to select the best match between the company and investor. The value of referrals to individual and institutional investors, from a respected source, rather than from businesses speculatively seeking funds, should not be under-estimated
