Who are Business Angels?

Why become a Business Angel?

WHY SEEK BUSINESS ANGEL, OR OTHER PRIVATE EQUITY, FUNDING FOR YOUR BUSINESS?

•  Early-stage businesses may be unable to raise funds from banks because of their lack of marketable assets or track record

•  Business Angel equity can be the catalyst which enables companies to raise part of their capital as debt

•  Seeking funds from Business Angels can be swifter than from venture capital funds, as it is the investors with the cash who are the decision makers

•  In addition to providing funds, Business Angels - who are often experienced business people - can usually offer general, or sector specific, management advice. VCL considers this to be a major advantage of Business Angel investment and, where appropriate, we can seek individual investors with experience in specific sectors who are will act as non-executive directors
